I am about 80% raw but I am finding that I crave “hot” food in these last few weeks. What do you do to cope with not wanting that warm comfort feeling after eating a nice hot soup?
Hi Angelina : ) I have just discovered that adding ginger and hot peppers (as much as I can handle) to juices really warms me up. Other strategies I use are: hot yoga, warming meals in the dehydrator before eating, lots of exercise, snuggling (OFTEN!), examining and researching the belief that humans need cooked food to stay warm then re-framing my thinking to see colder months as an opportunity to learn, and an overall focus on “warming foods.” Trusting that by sticking with a raw food diet over time, your body temperature will return to a comfortable level is also key; how long this takes depends on if you are 100% raw or not, and, the amount of cleansing your body needs. Sending you blessings, my friend ~ thanks for writing, Gina : )
